Placerville Wedding Vacation

Wally spent the weekend with his best friend Moose and his brother Gus (yes they are dogs).  Our friends took Wally to the beach and spoiled him.  He had so much fun he needs a couple days of rest to recharge his energy.  We love that our friends take pictures of wally to send to us while we are gone.

While Wally is having fun with this friends all weekend us humans went to a wedding in Placerville.  Our friends tied the knot and everyone from Humboldt was able to make it to the celebration, even our friends from New Mexico.  Will and I were even able to go wine tasting and try new restaurants.  This was a much needed vacation and a great way to kick off the summer solstice.

Will and I wanted to stop off during the drive home and do something different.  We stopped in Sacramento to sight see and eat lunch.  We decided to take a tour of the state capitol and it was so much fun!  We were lucky enough to sit in on the state senate and general assembly hearings.

Camping at Ruth Lake

We kicked off summer by going camping with friends at Ruth Lake!  We had several couples join us as well as their dogs (5 dogs total).  We had so much fun laying in the sun, fishing, and taking American Gold (the boat) out in the water.  Unfortunately the boys were too into going fishing that non of the girls, including me, got to go on the boat (so we have to go camping soon so I can ride on American Gold).  The weather was perfect and no mosquitoes to bother us at night.  The only wild life we saw were the fish but we did have a deer bounce through out campsite the first night.  Wally had so much fun playing in nature, swimming, and relaxing in the sun.  It has taken him four days to regain his normal energy.  We are looking forward for more camping trips this summer.

Fun in the Sun

This weekend was filled with fun. We kicked off the weekend by trying a new wine restaurant, Crush. It was delicious, the old and wine.  Saturday we spent the forenoon at the river.  Wally loved swimming in the water with his dog friends. Sunday the boys BBQ peanut butter burgers and enjoyed the sun working on the boat.
